How FlashTemp works
When you click Generate, FlashTemp creates a unique @flashtemp.email address and registers it in a Cloudflare D1 database in milliseconds. The address is immediately live — no DNS propagation delay, no email server warmup.
When someone sends an email to your disposable address, Cloudflare Email Routing intercepts it at the network edge before it ever reaches a traditional mail server. The Worker receives the raw message, parses it with PostalMime, and stores the content in D1. File attachments are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.
Your inbox checks for new messages every 7 seconds automatically. When a new message arrives, you see it within seconds and hear a soft notification sound.
When the inbox expires (24 hours for guests, 7 days for free accounts, 30 days for Premium), a scheduled Cloudflare Worker runs at 02:00 UTC and permanently deletes all messages, attachments, and the inbox record itself.
